Happy Earth Day! 🌍

Today is Earth Day. First held in 1970, this year, it’s an extra special occasion, as it marks the start of the crucial global climate summit.

2021’s theme is ‘Restore Our Earth’, focusing on natural processes and emerging green technology with the power to restore the world’s ecosystem.

Every day is Earth Day at PLAYin CHOC. We take our responsibility to preserve and sustain our planet seriously, but still make it fun! As well as sparking joy through play and chocolate, we hope to inspire the next generation’s passion for the environment.

Our packaging is biodegradable, recycled and recyclable – right down to the paper tape we use on our post boxes – and you can even home compost our plastic film.

We’ve honed our creamy, dreamy vegan chocolate recipe to taste delicious and to keep the high standard of ethics we demand. Super simple, we only use Madagascan bourbon vanilla, organic creamed coconut and coconut sugar, plus cocoa. It’s organic and all our cacao is fairly traded and grown on small, family-owned Peruvian farms, guaranteed slave, child and animal labour-free.

Top of our list, however, is the fun stuff! Our ToyChoc boxes each contain a slot-together, collectable toy – you might get a dinosaur, a rabbit, a woodland creature or an endangered animal – and a fun fact card about your creation. After you’ve popped your toy, you’ll have a cute stencil; perfect for making your own wild creature pictures.

PLAYin CHOC fuses play and creativity with learning about the importance of saving the planet, and then adds a little treat of delicious chocolate. Here’s to motivating the next generation to love and action, and here’s to this year’s Earth Day.
