Our 3-plant recipe: Ingredients that truly matter

Coconut sugar — naturally better than cane sugar

We use organic coconut sugar, not refined cane sugar. Why?

• Lower glycaemic impact than white sugar

• Contains naturally occurring potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc

• Less processed, retaining trace nutrients stripped out of refined sugars

• It delivers sweetness without the sugar spike, making our chocolate gentler on growing bodies and energy levels.

Coconut flesh — not milk powder

Instead of dairy, we use whole organic coconut flesh, providing:

• Natural MCT fats for sustained energy

• Vitamins such as B-complex

• Essential minerals including manganese and copper

This is why our chocolate is creamy without compromise, and naturally dairy-free.

Madagascan vanilla — real flavour, not flavouring

We use real Madagascan vanilla, prized for its depth and warmth. No artificial vanillin. No shortcuts. Just real flavour that lets our cacao shine.

Organic, slave-free cacao — always

Our cacao is:

• Certified organic

• Independently audited as slave-free

• Fully traceable through responsible supply chains

The truth about cacao prices (and why quality matters)

You may have seen headlines about soaring cacao prices.

Here are the facts:

• 3 years ago: ~USD $2,500 per metric tonne

• 2024 peak: over $12,000 per metric tonne

• Today: stabilising around $6,000 per metric tonne

Why the volatility?

• Climate change affecting West African harvests

• Crop disease

• Years of underinvestment in farmers

• Increased global demand for real chocolate

Important note: These figures refer to the raw commodity bean price traded on exchanges.

At PLAYin CHOC, we don’t buy anonymous beans.

We pay around 3× the exchange price because our cacao is:

• Grown organically

• Fully traceable

• Roasted, sorted, de-hulled and pressed in Peru

• Supplied as high-quality cacao mass and cacao butter — the foundation of our 3-plant recipe

This ensures consistent flavour, ethical sourcing, and superior nutrition.

Our chocolate is made in our B Corp–certified factory in Uxbridge, London.
